This past April, Harvard’s South Asia Institute hosted a workshop on Water and Poverty in Urban Slums<\/a> as a component of its annual symposium<\/a>. Video of this event will be available from their website<\/a>\u00a0later this summer, but we have a detailed summary of the discussion among the panelists. In an attempt to better understand the nature of the problem — access to adequate water of suitable quality for the residents of slums — \u00a0each of the panelists focused on a different aspect of water access and urban slum communities. This year’s panel follows up on the Urban Water Challenges<\/em> 2014 SAI symposium panel.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
